So today Microsoft and FaceBook went from holding hands to kissing… with tongue maybe? Microsoft took a stake in FB for some $247 million dollars and expanded the advertising deal. This stake puts FB value at $15 billion dollars.

So lets do some math.

Value of Daver’s Facebook account = $15,000,000,000/50,000,000 = $300 according to this math

I am curious how many ads I will have to look to be worth that much? I guess we will do some more math.

If we assume on the low end of $5 CPM and on the high end $50 CPM we can determine that:

I have to look at ($300/$5) * 1000 Ads or 60,000 Ads.

I have to look at ($300/$50) * 1000 Ads or 6,000 Ads.

So even at the middle point of 33,000 ads it wont take long for me to surpass the value they put on me. If a person on the average looks at just 5 pages a day and thus 10 ads a day it can add up fast.

Dont forget FB has only some 50 million users and is growing faster then the larger Myspace who has some 200+ million users. With that in mind, if Microsoft would like to just out right purchase my profile I would be willing to hear their offer.
