Kid Rock Rocks the House in Milwaukee
If you are someone that knows me at all you already know that I live for music. If by chance you dont know me all that well - well now you know. I have always been a huge music fan and this has my concert going growing over the past few years.
Tonight was an extremely good and rare show as some legends took the stage at The Eagles Club tonight. The mix of the crowd was young, old, male, female and generally just all over the spectrum. There was a 55 year old and his wife/girlfriend standing next to kids that were 15 or 16. I even saw two younger kids with their mom there (they did look a bit scared when the front rows turned into a mosh pit).
The show started to the last Kid Rock show (in Chicago just a month or two ago) that I attended. My brother and I arrived in the freezing cold to the venue some 15 minutes early. I was able to get 2 last minute tickets as the show hadnt fully sold out.

Once in from the cold and past the ticket takers and patter downers, we made our way to the bar - you have to at least get one beer right? Grabbed a beer and went and got a spot on the floor some 10-15 rows out from the stage.
Just like in the past, the show started almost exactly on time. There was no opener, the lights just went down and out came Kid in a all white suit with the band a blazing. After 3 songs Peter Wolf of J Geils Band came out and sang a song on his own, and then two with Kid and then disappeared. Later in the set (I forget now if it was the first or second set) Peter Wolf came back out and did the oddest into into a song I have ever seen. It was a 5 minute or something story and people tried throwing cups at him and boos/rumbling was starting in crowd. Luckily he and Kid hit it and the band rolled into the next song. And all were happy. Side Note: If someone seriously knows what he was talking about please let me know as I was way confused by his story/intro.
Kid and The Brown Trucker Band played for over one hour and finally took a 15 minute break. The break was actually quite short but while everyone ran for a beer I was able to sneak up to about 7-10 rows out - I have the bad photos on the phone to prove it.
Kid came out dressed in all black and the band and dancers were as well. Not even one song into the set and the Rev Run was on the stage - the place exploded. Kid, Rev, and the Band busted out some AC/DC, old Rap, and some Walk this Way for a good 4-6 set with the Rev.
The last 30 minutes was some blaring music with just Kid Rock and the band hittin’ on all cylinders. Show friggin’ rocked. They finally called it quits…. for about 2 minutes. This was just enough time for some people to leave and me to get up to 5th row out - hell yeah!
Kid Rock and The Band did one song and then Rev and Peter came out and did a song or two together.
For my 40$, I must thank Kid and everyone for a worthwhile 3 hours of kick ass music and showmanship. Keep it up guys/ladies and Ill see you next time. If you havent seen a Kid Rock show - I suggest you get your ass to one pronto or at least check out the album - you will be happily surprised.
