Or are they?

I personally havent seen this, but in the last hour I have read two blog posts confirming this long time “industry rumor”. Anyone that has been a domainer or into domaining at any level has heard rumors and stories but its looking as if these are maybe more then just stories?

The first story of this came in from Graywolf on twitter a few hours ago. The second instance of this claim came from Jay Westerdal (hey Jay, Ill see you in Seattle again this June I believe) over at Domaintools. Jay it seems had tried to register this domain only to have it snagged.

DotSauce also appears to have had this happen just today. I wonder how many others have had this happen lately and when the first documented occurrence was?

It seems that many other people have seen this this week and Network Solutions has even given a reason for doing this. See their answer
