T Mobile shuts down Twitter Service

It seems that users of T-Mobile are having issues with sending text messages to Twitter.

There are reports from Alternageek , CNET, and more at Getsatisfaction with Biz Stone commenting.  It is as if T-Mobile has blocked or shut down service to users trying to send messages to the Twitter.  Nothing like getting “unlimited” texting only to have the service you use it for get blocked.

Can you imagine what new iPhone owners would do if they were told by Cingular ATT Wireless that they can no longer have “unlimited” text but really can only have X texts a month?  It reminds me of poor marketing or just broken promises of Hosting companies that say “unlimited” bandwidth but then change their mind (like this company).

I am not on T-Mobile but plan on following this closely as it could have a rippling effect on other carriers (hopefully not mine). With more services using phones for data services, music downloads, photos, and texting this could become an interesting issue. *Funny, an AT&T ad just was on my TV.

Hopefully other companies will not follow T-Mobile and will continue to let us use their shoddy networks to text and call our friends as we so want.

Let us TWEET as we so wish!
